About Mrs. Clark

As a young girl, I loved my family, school, books, horses, and playing sports. It seemed natural that I would become a teacher, but my path to the classroom was not a direct one.

In 1997, I earned my B.A. in English Literature, from San Jose State University, but I loved the job I had begun at a high tech company so much that I stayed working in technology for almost six years.

Eventually, I couldn't resist the pull toward a career in education, and I completed my multiple subject credential with a supplement in English, in 2004. I taught middle school language arts in the Placerville Union School District for 4 years before becoming a mother. After a break to attend to my own children's early childhood development, I returned to teaching, as a Bengal, in 2016. This begins my eighth year as a reading teacher at Rolling Hills.

I still love my family, school, and books. I've also grown to enjoy hiking and traveling. I am thrilled to be able to share my passion for reading with my students, and I look forward to a wonderful school year!
